Performance:  John is a multi-instrumentalist specializing in woodwinds.  He is an accomplished performer on: soprano, alto, tenor and baritone saxophones; piccolo, flute and alto flute; clarinet and bass clarinet; soprano, alto and tenor recorder; irish flute; pennywhistles; Native American flutes; EWI (electronic wind instrument); keyboards; and various hand percussion.

Composition & Arranging: Whether it’s underscore for a commercial, a soundtrack for video or a movie project, or original music for a special event or occasion, John can provide the sound you are looking for on time and on budget.  If you need arrangements for your band or horn section, he can provide those as well.  From a small group to a full big band, he’s got the experience and the tools to turn your basic ideas into full blown arrangements for any size ensemble.

Contracting:  Need musicians for a project or recording session?  Need a horn section for your record date or live performance?  Through years of performing in the NY metro area, John’s personal contacts allow IsleyMusic access to many of New York’s finest performing and recording musicians. We can handle all of the business arrangements for you so you can get on with making music.

Recording:  John offers a fully operational Macintosh based recording suite centered around MOTU’s Digital Performer as his DAW of choice.  In addition he offers Pro Tools LE, Logic, and Ableton Live as well for those clients needing those tools.
